In 1993 a group of church
members at Sagamore Hill Baptist Church became burdened over
the issue of abortion and began the process of searching for
a Christian response to the subject. Once a Task Force was
formed, much prayer, research, and study went into the
matter. God quickly and clearly confirmed our desire to
open a crisis pregnancy center (CPC) and began to open doors
that we still marvel at today. We presented our vision to
the church Body of Sagamore Hill and they embraced it with
passion. It was clear God wanted us to launch a ministry to
women in crisis pregnancies and we were amazed by His
immediate and constant
provision. A near perfect building was donated, an
experienced CPC Director walked through the doors of our
church needing employment to help her through seminary and
many interested volunteer counselors began to emerge from
our congregation. Within months we were training counselors
and dedicating our building. In January of 1994 we opened
our doors for the first time and have been ministering to
women in our community ever since.
